Effortless integration for greener environments

Since the very first WoodBlocX Landscaping structure was installed on a rooftop and podium gardens above the south London skyline, the versatile modular system has been continually specified on projects across the UK.

The combination of design flexibility, natural materials and opportunities to increase biodiversity by adding plants and trees has made WoodBlocX the product of choice for street furniture in public spaces, roof gardens and more for many of our clients.

Our structures are made up of a series of strong wooden blocks of varying sizes that are held together by strong dowels, using different sized blocks and having the ability to pre-cut angles and incorporate curves means we can adapt designs to fit spaces perfectly, whether its a brand new installation or a retrofit.

We work closely with landscape architects to create bespoke designs for projects, our urban street furniture examples can be infinitely adapted and expanded to suit projects, plus incorporating planting is a key element in all of our work, our team are experts in creating the right balance between form and a function to increase biodiversity.

Some recent installations include Staniforth House in Birmingham where our system was used to create separate seating arrangements, incorporating planting to maximise the views overlooking the city. The mixture of shapes, materials and colour created a vibrant contemporary space. Read more about the Staniforth House installation here.

The arrangement of the striking large curved planters with integrated seating and tall dense planting at NHS Royal Berkshire Hospital provide patients and their families privacy within one of the hospital’s courtyard areas, each pod includes straight or curved benches which slot seamlessly into the planters. Whilst design flexibility plays a huge part in the popularity of the WoodBlocX system, the ease of build is also a huge plus point, all parts are manufactured in our sawmill in the Highlands of Scotland, everything is supplied pre-drilled and cut to size making installation quick and straightforward.

All WoodBlocX structures are guaranteed for 15 years. To find out more about our outdoor street furniture and types of street furniture we offer click here.
