Napiershall Street

A residential rooftop project with raised planters and seating

Napiershall Street, Glasgow Residential Apartments

The client, Kelvin Properties, was looking for a solution to enhance the rooftop area of one of their latest developments, The Old Schoolhouse, Napiershall Street, Glasgow. The 1890’s school building shares its grounds with a modern development so it was vital that the chosen products reflected this.

The client wanted to provide an outdoor area for residents to enjoy, whilst remaining in keeping with the building’s original features and the surrounding area. The project specifier, OOBE, had originally specified metal planters however the client decided WoodBlocX offered a better solution due to the speed of build, the flexibility of the product and the ease of getting the materials to the site.

Rooftop raised planters and seating areas

TThe key objective for this project was to provide a rooftop space where residents could socialise outdoors, dine and exercise. The specifers on this project, OOBE, used WoodBlocX as an alternative to metal raised planters. WoodBlocX was a more cost effective option to metal and our bespoke solution offers the flexibility to follow the footprint of an existing design.
